This is my third BlogWorld Expo. You'll see me around with a camera and a video camera once again this year.

In the interim since BlogWorld 2009, my main blog was hacked. It took a very long time to secure it. In the interim, I took advantage of Posterous and built this Ask Linda Sherman blog.

I am now coming back on Wordpress full strength. After much research, I decided to use the Studio Press Genesis framework. I learned how to set up a Genesis site with Our Best of Kauai and then began building Boomer Tech Talk which was launched October 5th. In the wings I have coming LindaSherman dot TV, Women on Top and more. 

Most of the videos I've been taking are up on Linda Sherman YouTube. Those filmed by my partner, Ray Gordon are on the Courage Group You Tube. The videos from BlogWorld will be released shortly with an article talking about the contents and the person in the video on one or more of my Wordpress sites. Many of them will be released on Boomer Tech Talk. After that, they will be published here as well.

I am taking additional How To Video Interviews at this Blog World. I'm on the look-out for bloggerati based outside of the cities I spend time in. That's one of the great things about BlogWorld Expo - that we are all brought here together from around the country and around the world.

Happy Anniversary Social Media Examiner - Mike Stelzner

Today is the anniversary of Social Media Examiner, launched October 12.  Mike Stelzner tells the story here of what motivated the timing. One important factor - Mike would be speaking at Blog World 2009 where he knew social media leaders would be gathering.

 

I had the opportunity to meet Mike myself at Blog World 2009 and interviewed him. Here you can find his tips about how to rally your Twitter community using the social proof mechanism to take you where you want to go. These tips are great for cause marketing. Obviously, you need to build relationships with people first to have this work for you. It's all give and take.
