It’s Complicated Private Screening

November 25, 2009 By Linda Sherman Leave a Comment

I’ll be at the It’s Complicated private screening Saturday night.

Meryl Streep, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin. Writer/Director Nancy Meyers did “What Women Want” and “Somethings Gotta Give”. But gasp no “camera phones” allowed in the theatre (is there another kind of phone?). I am already twitching from iPhone withdrawal.

Update:
I participated in the private screening held by the studio aimed a particular demographic to evaluate their reaction to the film. This is different than screenings for film industry participants.

Be prepared to leave your smart phone in the car if you attend a non-industry film screening. They don’t trust you. Can you blame them?

I liked the film. If you haven’t seen it yet, I recommend it. It takes place in beautiful Santa Barbara, California. As usual, the role of architect is highly romanticized. (My husband, Ray Gordon, is a licensed architect and urban planner so I know something about this).
