Just installed @TweetMeme on WordPress.org? Turn off display on historic posts – I tweeted.
Update:
Tweetmeme is no longer active. But these ideas may apply to adding a bookmarking plug-in to a website that didn’t display tweets and other social proof previously on those pages.
=========
You’ve just installed Tweetmeme and it’s cool for your current post in your WordPress.org blog but all your previous posts have TweetMeme buttons blaring ZERO RT’s.
Found on TweetMeme: “Optionally display the button – It is possible to switch the button off on certain posts by creating a new custom field called ‘tweetmeme’ and setting it false. To add the button back on, remove the custom field.”
If you have All in One SEO Pack – you will easily find “custom field” (see below). Once you enter TweetMeme as an option, it will show up when you seek to enter this on previous posts.
Click back to your site and you’ll see the TweetMeme button has been removed for that article.
