We are talking about the intersection of Single Life and Social Media.
There are five intriguing panelists, each having something to do with Dating and Relationships as well as Social Media.
We agree on many things but you will also hear different points of view as well. One view of Single Life is reflected in this week’s “Letter from Kim” (Singular Communications’ co-founder Kim Calvert) titled Shed Those Old Ideas About Being Single
Kim will be joining us in the audience as well as some very interesting members of the LA media community.
The name of this Social Media Club LA event is “Dating and Relationships: The Game Has Changed”
How has it changed?
One thing that has changed is that singles are now the majority in the U.S.Yesterday you may have used an internet dating site to find a date, now you might find a friend or a date on any social network including Twitter, Facebook and Flickr.
Sometimes when you aren’t looking for a date, but just forming relationships, come the best opportunities of all.
Singular magazine and SingularCity.com were born to support the philosophy that being single is an opportunity for great self-discovery and defining your own life.
Come hear more about enjoying your Single Lifestyle in Los Angeles.
We hope to see Andy Sternberg there, thanks Andy for previewing the event in the LAist.
AVFlox will be adding her usual spice. Here’s her warm up.

Liz Kelly, the smart author of Smart Man Hunting, will have tips to offer.
We actually allowed a man onto the panel. Dating coach Evan Marc Katz is sure to deliver humorous observations on dating.

My Background for this Panel:
After working as an executive in Japan, I transitioned back to the United States with a product called Singelringen, a Swedish unisex ring for singles. That product demanded social media exposure and I dove straight in. I began the base for a career as a Social Media Marketing Consultant.
I also built a network of 15 authors who wrote about Single Life in an empowering way and endorsed Singelringen.
Several years later, one of those authors, Leslie Talbot, became a columnist for Singular magazine/SingularCity.com. Leslie realized that the philosophy of Singelringen and Singular were very similar and introduced me to Kim Calvert.
I helped Singular Communications to launch SingularCity.com in September 2008 and have been their acting Community Manager since.
SingularCity is about fully embracing and enjoying being single in Los Angeles. There are special interest groups, activities and opportunities to make friends in a relaxed atmosphere.
Hey Linda,Can’t wait to hear you guys speak. Sounds like it’s going to be a good one!
