Continuing updates on Ray Gordon’s medical treatment following the accident in Nigeria.
Following the initial post and the first update about the accident in Nigeria. Here is my third update post beginning February 22.
On the recommendation of Dr. Mark Weiss we visited Steve Shin at Kerlan Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic. The initial soft case set in Nigeria was unwrapped and a new American soft cast applied. Using the capable x-rays taken in Nigeria along with a close exam of Ray’s hand Dr. Shin pronounced that both the pinky and ring finger require surgery. The middle finger is just sprained. Surgery has been set for early Thursday morning, being the earliest that the popular Dr. Shin can get Ray in.

Ray is back from surgery. It appears all went well. Two titanium screws in the pinky finger and three in the ring finger. No post surgery photos for you yet.
